how to use an espresso machine?
ummm im new to the espresso world… i just got a machine for the apartment. I enjoy coffee but im really not sure what to do with it. I dont know what store they got it from and i cant take it back, and i have a bad history of selling stuff on the internet. Can anyone help with suggestions?
Most people don’t buy really good espresso machines as gifts as they cost so much.
Look up the model online to find out what it cost & reviews. If it doesn’t seem good enough, sell it on ebay and use the money to buy a stove top moka pot. It’s a lot easier to make espresso with a moka pot & it tastes consistently better than a cheap machine or even a good machine with poor technique.
Besides, good espresso also requires an expensive grinder since pre-ground espresso is already stale. A moka pot requires a coarser grind that can be achieved by a cheaper grinder.
That’s a tough one, since there are so many machines that work differently. Some even use "pods" instead of loose coffee. A few more details would be helpful.
